Industry Appreciation Night

The Richmond, VA NAWIC Chapter #141 held their Industry Appreciation Night at the Jefferson Lakeside Country Club on May 18th, 2006 showcasing the winners of their three educational programs in the local school systems, and their scholarship recipients.

Ellee Winston of Mary Munford Model Elementary School was this year’s Block Kids Contest Winner! Great job Ellee! Many thanks to Mickey Jennings of Hourigan Construction, this year’s Block Kids Chairperson.

Margaret Karles and Jack Colver of Bayside Construction from Pocahontas Middle School won this year’s First Place for the Building Design Project. Great building and design Margaret and Jack! Our thanks to Rick Long of Pocahontas Middle School for continuing to include this program in your curriculum and for the excellent teaching job you do! Many thanks to Courtney Seed of Great American Insurance, this year’s Building Design Chairperson.

Evan Froelich of Tucker High School took First Place in this year’s Drafting Competition for his design of a park area. His teacher, Marshall Turner, of Tucker High School was his driving force behind his project! Many thanks to Rachael McKinney of Rummel, Klepper, and Kawl, this year’s Drafting Competition Chair Person.

Chrissie Slater of Fixture Specialists chaired the Scholarship Committee this year with dedication and heartfelt enthusiasm. Our Scholarship winners were:
