NAWIC Chapter #141 Member Receives Award

Ashley Hines, CIT, NAWIC #141 Construction Industry Chair, received the NAWBO & Verizon Enterprising Women of Excellence Owens&Minor Community Service Award at the dinner held at The Jefferson on October 18, 2006. She received this for spearheading the fund raising and construction phases of The RWBC & NAWIC Accessible Playground Project in the courtyard at The Virginia Treatment Center for Children. She accepted the award in honor of the committee members, all the sponsors and all the civic groups and individual volunteers who helped on this 3-1/2 year project. Her hope was that everyone would spread the word about the wonderful facility and programs The Virgnia Treatment Center for Children has to offer children who are abused and/or neglected, who have possibly been mis-diagnosed, and who have mental and/or emotional illnesses.
