The Richmond Women’s Business Consortium represents a working alliance between local women’s organizations that explicitly encourage and cultivate women’s success in business and/or the community. The purpose of the Richmond Women’s Business Consortium (RWBC) is:

  • to advocate for and support the individual RWBC member organizations (RWBC Members) in their respective initiatives to serve and support their members and/or the community;
  • to exchange information to a greater advantage and inform women in the Greater Richmond Metro area about local women’s professional organizations and the initiatives that these RWBC Members implement to serve and support women in business and the community;
  • to develop venues that afford opportunities for our individual members to broaden their network, increase their business opportunities, and maximize their professional success.

Participating in RWBC

Organizations:  Membership is open to non-profit organizations with at least 85% of its members being business or professional women.  Each member organization must independently endeavor to support women and encourage their success in business or in the community.  There is no membership fee and each member organization appoints two Directors to serve on the RWBC Board.  For more information on how your organization can become a member of RWBC please send an email to:

Individuals:  Individuals are welcome to attend SmartConnect events and are encouraged to pursue membership in RWBC member organizations.  Guests are charged a nominal fee to attend SmartConnect events.  Members of RWBC member organization are admitted free of charge.
