Richmond Women’s Network

This group is networking in pure form. We do not sponsor activities, programs or raise money. Our working lunches are held the 1st to 4th Wednesday of each month. Each lunch has a volunteer host and is held in 4 different parts of the metro area. E-mail is our only communication tool.

Mission
The Richmond Women’s Network is a professional association dedicated to the advancement of women in the workplace through education and networking.  We provide women with a network of peers where career-building ideas and professional resources are shared for the purpose of helping women to succeed in achieving their career goals and financial independence.

History
The Richmond Women’s Network was formed in spring 1999 by merging the memberships of the Richmond Professional Women’s Network and the Commonwealth Executive Women’s Council.  Both organizations were similar in size and focus and similarly challenged in attracting busy women to meetings.  The consensus was that the two groups complemented each other fabulously and had everything to gain by working together.  Thus the Richmond Women’s Network was born.  We are an example of women’s cooperative style of working together for the benefit of all.

Goals and Objectives
To increase career opportunities and earning power through new business contacts, and information sharing.
To form friendships in the business community, bolster self-esteem, give and receive support, and share ideas.
To provide an organized, yet informal arena in which to enhance professional growth.

Membership
Membership in the Network is open to women who share a commitment to the goals and objectives of the organization.
